Nancy Hament has spent more than 26 years in the investment banking business, primarily in institutional sales and related management positions.

From 1995 to 2006, Ms. Hament was a Principal at CRT Capital Group, a boutique investment bank specializing in the junk and distressed sectors. During her tenure there, the firm grew from 35 to 150 people and expanded its business presence in the sales and trading of all levels of the capital structure, as well as in capital raising assignments. CRT excelled in providing prescient research and analysis on bankruptcy situations. Ms. Hament, a senior member of the sales effort, had deep institutional relationships that enabled the firm to provide successful execution in the trading of pre-bankruptcy as well as post-emergence securities.

Ms. Hament began her career at Lehman Brothers, where she worked in several different capacities from 1979 to 1995. From 1993 to 1995, Ms. Hament worked in Lehman’s High Yield Department where she brought her considerable institutional sales experience to the growing range of products that Lehman traded in the sector. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1993, Ms. Hament worked in the Mortgage-Backed Securities Group, selling products that ranged from standard MBS and related derivative products, to more structured vehicles created for the billions of dollars of RTC-related assets acquired by Lehman during that period.

From 1986 to1988, Ms. Hament created and managed an International Sales Group in New York which covered foreign institutions in the North American Time Zone. The group’s customers were principally foreign banks and other international corporations (for example leasing and insurance enterprises). The sales group brought expertise in Lehman’s products in fixed income, derivatives, and real estate to this diverse group of investors.

From 1979 to 1985, Ms. Hament worked in the Fixed Income Institutional Sales Group which distributed all products in the five year and under maturity range.

Ms. Hament is FINRA Series 7, 63 certified.

Ms. Hament is married with two children and lives in Manhattan, New York. She graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a B.A. in economics and international relations. Ms. Hament received her Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the Advisory Board of The Fiver Children’s Foundation.
